Ruben Lieske, of Dorchester, was arrested with some difficulty after allegedly stabbing two people in the neck with a knife around 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7 near 189 Blue Hill Avenue in Roxbury, according to the Boston Police Department.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing and found a single victim struggling with a laceration to their neck. They began to deliver medical attention, when more officers arrived and a second stab wound victim was found, also struggling with a laceration to the neck.

The suspect had dashed away from the scene, but police were able to broadcast the direction he was heading and his description. A man matching that description, 21-year-old Lieske, was found in the area and ran from police when they attempted to arrest him.

Lieske was arrested after a brief chase, and was charged with:

  • Two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (knife)
  • Resisting arrest

One victim was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the other was treated on the scene and released.

Lieske is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
